Calpaper is made by one independent developer, and I read every message. Email calpaper@danielgh.info with your iPhone model, iOS version and what you were doing.
iOS doesn't let any app change your wallpaper on its own. Apple's Shortcuts app can. Calpaper provides one action, "Get Today's Calpaper", and the setup guide walks you through creating a daily automation that passes its image to Apple's "Set Wallpaper Photo" action. You do this once. Shortcuts is already on your iPhone; if you removed it, get it free from the App Store.
Open Shortcuts and check the automation: it should be on, set to repeat every day, and set to Run Immediately (not "Run After Confirmation"). On iOS 26 and earlier these live in the Automation tab; on iOS 27 the automation is a shortcut with a time trigger. Then tap Update at the top-left of Calpaper to run it right now and see any error, or tap the status icon and choose Doesn't look right? for a four-point checklist.
In the "Set Wallpaper Photo" action, turn off Crop to Subject and Show Preview. The guide shows where they are (tap the small arrow after "Lock Screen and Home Screen").
The button runs your shortcut by name. The guide names it Calpaper; if you called it something else, type that name in Settings › Shortcut name, exactly as it appears in Shortcuts.
Set Calpaper up before version 1.1 on iOS 26 or earlier? That setup was an automation only, with no shortcut to run by name. Open Settings › Setup guide in Calpaper: it builds a shortcut called Calpaper and an automation that runs it. Delete the old automation afterwards.
From version 1.3, reminders come straight from the Reminders app, nothing to retype. In Content › Reminders, tap Continue to allow access and choose your lists. The card shows your open reminders: what's due today first, then overdue ones, then those with no date. Tick one off in Reminders and it leaves the wallpaper at the next update. The lines you typed in Calpaper before 1.3 are moved into your Reminders list the first time you allow access.
Yes, with Calpaper Pro (from version 1.5). In Content › Countdown, tap Add days since and pick an emoji, a name and the day it started: days together, days sober, any fresh start. The wallpaper shows the count as a big number that grows every morning. Leave the name empty and only the emoji shows, for the ones you keep to yourself.
No. Everything you had stays yours: Calpaper Pro is unlocked on your Apple Account, for good, and Settings › Calpaper Pro reads Early supporter. If it doesn't, tap Restore purchase there, signed in with the Apple Account that bought it (a new phone or a reinstall picks it up the same way).
Thank you for being there first. You have Calpaper Pro for good, so you got exactly what everyone pays for now. If that doesn't feel right, write to the support address below and we'll sort it out.
"Set Wallpaper Photo" replaces the photo of the wallpaper you pick. To keep your current one, add a new wallpaper first: long-press your Lock Screen, tap +, and point the automation at that one.
The wallpaper is drawn each morning, so events added later in the day aren't on it yet. When today's calendar changes, Calpaper's status turns into an amber Update: tap it to redraw the wallpaper now. Otherwise the change arrives with tomorrow morning's update.
Check that Calpaper has calendar access (Settings › Privacy & Security › Calendars › Calpaper › Full Access) and that the calendar is switched on in Calpaper under Content › Events. Declined invitations are left out on purpose.
On your phone. Calpaper has no servers and no account. From version 1.1, anonymous usage stats are sent only if you allow them, and never include your calendar, notes, photos or emoji. See the Privacy Policy. Deleting the app deletes everything it stored.
English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, and Turkish. VoiceOver, Dynamic Type and Reduce Motion are supported, and the wallpaper itself has a "Larger text" option in the Look step.
